call me irresponsible

Things are going to get really hectic really soon.

Exam timetables are out, and all of my exams are in the space of one week. And since things haven't been going well academically I better buck up. Sigh. I really hope its still salvageable.

And there are so much stuff on my to-do list, its not funny. I'm suppose to meet up with this person, do that thing, finish up this one and blah blah. I was suppose to go to this thing but I didn't, suppose to do that thing but I forgot.

Oh yeah, has anyone seen my social life? Like, where are my friends? Where are the good coffee-cum-conversation, hang-out-by-the-beach times?

But I managed to go to Kia Maia for the first time in a long while. You know, having someone to teach you an instrument is so much better than learning it on your own. Mel taught me stuff on the guitar, and I've learn so much more in that one and a half hours, compared to the last 3 weeks of learning on my own.

And since we're on the topic of music...

Michael Buble's Call Me Irresponsible. OH MY GOD ITS SO FREAKING GOOD. Especially track number 6 - Lost. Almost made me cry.

Buble: "'Lost' is an anthem for star-crossed lovers. Sometimes relationships don't work out because love isn't enough, but that doesn't mean you have to discard the person. There is a way to end a relationship and still be there when they need you. That's basically what its about."

I can't think of many other things that touches my soul more than music. And I think that to be able to appreciate music, and let it touch my inner being, is a gift. To some its a hobby. To others its something relaxing, something that adds a little colour to dullness. To me, the notes and the rhythm, the instruments, the melodies.. its everything that is beautiful about life. It is an extension of myself. And life in a fallen world is made so much more bearable because of music.

And I wish I realized how much I really love music much early on.

Music is a manifestation of love. If you are touched by music, you are touched by love in a very pure way - Pepe Romero

Musicians are people who feel passion with a greater pulse, who take emotions and magnify it through their mouths and fingers, who forces the world to shut up and listen, and make others feel their joy and pain.

I need to start studying, like right now. So come on Fran. Turn off that radio and put down the guitar. You can dream about Michael Buble later.

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone and it goes to waste
Could it be worse

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
I will try and fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
I will try and fix you

Tears streaming down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears streaming down your face
And I

Tears streaming down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears streaming down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try and fix you

The rules laid out are:
1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on Shuffle mode.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Write any comments you have after the song name.
5. Tag everyone who’s linked to your blog (those reading this entry included too!) and get them to tell you when they’ve done theirs, so you can both laugh at each other’s “misfortunes” or “coincidences”! =D

love letters from ella

"I've had some wonderful love affairs and some that didn't work out. I don't want to dwell on that and I don't want to put people down. But I think all the fabulous places I've been, the wonderful things that have happened to me, the great people I've met - that ought to make a story" - Ella Fitzgerald

Ella. With everything that is beautiful about jazz.
